About the founder: Lebogang Mashigo

Lebogang Mashigo is more than a founder; she is a force in South African entrepreneurship. An Agripreneur, Commercial farmer, Public speaker, and Philantropist, her journey and expertise are the bedrock of Eggsellent.

  • A Recognized Leader: Listed in the 2016 Mail & Guardian 200 Young South Africans, a YALI Fellow, and a finalist for the British She Inspires Award (2022).
  • A Media Voice: Profiled in Sowetan, Poultry Bulletin, and on SABC, CNBC Africa, and numerous radio stations, she uses her platform to champion entrepreneurship.
  • Formally Trained: Her qualifications include Business & Entrepreneurship Development (Unisa) and specialised Table Eggs & Biosecurity Management (AgriSeta).

    Eggsellent by Lebo is the realization of a vision for modern, scalable agriculture. We are a commercial laying farm with a 30,000-hen capacity. Our investment in fully environmentally controlled housing sets us apart, giving us precise command over temperature and biosecurity, independent of external weather. This ensures bird welfare and consistent, year-round production
